Where did it all begin?!
Zechariah 12: 2 Behold, I am bout to make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah.
Hi everyone. There is scripture after scripture in the bible that tells us in the the last days there will be terrible conflict in the Middle East and that Israel will be right in the middle of it all. So one of the Primary pieces in the last day bible prophecy is all the conflict happening in the Middle East. And isn't it absolutely astounding how accurate the bible is?! Where is so much of the turmoil and danger in the world today? In the Middle East, and Israel is smack-dab in the middle!
So let's take a history lesson: where did all this hatred by Israel's neighbors begin? We know all the evil atrocities taking place against Israel right now is demonic. It is a demonic hatred that inspires terrorist groups like Hamas to intrude into Israeli homes in the middle of the night and slaughter innocent people in their sleep, not to mention the other heinous crimes committed against them by this terrorist regime. BUT where did all this hatred begin?
Though we could go back further, it truly began May 14, 1948. After suffering so horribly in the holocaust, the United Nations truly felt it was the right thing to do in giving the Jews back their land. They needed somewhere to return to. They needed somewhere to belong. So they voted the state of Israel back into existence and gave them back much of their ancient land.
Not wanting to give up the land because they felt it now belonged to the Arabs, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon attacked Israel the very next day, May 15, to destroy her. However, Israel won! Israel then took West Jerusalem and 750,000 Palestinians were dispelled from their homes.
1967 the Six Day War happened.
Jordan, Syria, and Egypt attacked Israel again. Again, Israel won. When it was over Israel had taken the Golan Heights from Syria, the West Bank from Jordan, and Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. Israel now occupied all of Jerusalem and its holy sites. After the war the Palestinians were not allow to return to their homes, but had to live in Gaza, West Bank and Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
In 1978 Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accord. Israel gave the Sinai Peninsula back to Egypt and Egypt declared Israel a state.
Because Israel still occupied the West Bank and Gaza, Israelis began moving in and establishing communities. This forced Palestinians off of their land. The Palestinians then fought against Israel with acts of terrorism.
The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) then formed for the purpose of annihilating Israel entirely.
1980 there was a Palestinian uprising that became very violent. Over 1000 Palestinians died.
In the year 2000 there was another Palestinian uprising. It was then Hamas formed, swearing to destroy Israel and create an Islamic state.
In 2005, in a treaty called Land For Peace, Israel gave back Gaza to the Palestinians. Instead of peace, Hamas took over Gaza and began a terrorist war with Israel. It was then Israel put Gaza under a suffocating blockade. I know many people believe this was so unfair, but it was the only way Israel could keep Hamas from coming in and committing acts of terrorism. This blockade led to bloody wars between Hamas and Israel.
And this leads us to where we are today. When Israel's guard was down, Hamas broke through the blockade and did what they would have done a long time ago if they were able, slaughter Jews.
Well, this is just a brief description of the conflict between Israel and her neighboring Islamic countries. There is a lot more to it, but I kept it as brief as possible. If you wish to know more, there is a wealth of accurate information available.
Just understand that all the conflict and turmoil in the Middle East between Israel and her Islamic neighbors were prophesied about in the bible. It is one of our Primary pieces in end-time bible prophecy. It is something HUGE going on in our world in these last days, clearly revealed in the scriptures.
God bless.
