Prophetic Pulpit: America will turn on Israel

                                           It's only a matter of time 

Ezekiel 38: The Word of the Lord came to me: son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal; prophesy against him and say, 'This is what the sovereign Lord says, I am against you, Gog. I will turn you around, and put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far North with all its troops-the many nations with you...You will come from your place in the far North, you and many nations with you. You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In the days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes." 

Ezekiel 38 makes it very clear that in the last days Russia will lead a coalition of Islamic nations against the tiny country of Israel (See my blog, What is the Gog, Magog war?) Russia, Iran, and Turkey will lead other Moslem nations in the invasion of Israel to wipe her off the face of the earth. 

Ezekiel 38 & 39 also makes it very clear that no one will come to Israel's defense. Not even the United States! The reason being, 'God alone will be her defender.' When God supernaturally intervenes, God says in verse 16 'the nations will know me.' I believe many people will come into a saving relationship with the Lord through this event.  

So with this in mind,  I have often wondered what would turn the heart of America away from Israel. America and Israel have been allies, so what HUGE event could possibly turn the heart of Americans away from Israel? Well, I think we don't have to wonder anymore. We are seeing it happen right before our very eyes. The longer the war rages in Gaza, the more the majority of Americans are turning their support away from Israel. Many Christians still stand by Israel, but the longer the war goes on, the more the American people are turning their support away from the Jewish state. 

Just recently President Biden said to reporters, "I'm of the view, as you know, that the conduct of the response in the Gaza Strip has been over the top...I'm pushing very hard to deal with the hostage ceasefire. There are a lot of innocent people who are starving, a lot of innocent people who are in trouble and dying, and it's gotta stop." The Whitehouse news report stated, "The remarks, some of Biden's sharpest public criticism to date of the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, come as the Democratic president has come under increasing domestic pressure to press Israel to stop fighting." 

We all agree that the suffering of innocent Palestinians is tragic. I can honestly say I pray for them often. I pray the Lord would have such mercy and help the innocent. Yet, this war plays a very big part in turning the hearts of the nations against Israel. We don't know when the Ezekiel 38 war is going to happen, but we know it is going to happen soon. Everything is in alignment and racing toward that war. Because it is close, we have to know the war in Gaza is a big part of the nations turning against Israel, so much to the point when the Ezekiel 38 war happens, she will be all alone. Then God will glorify Himself to the world so supernaturally when He defends His chosen people, Israel. Through it, many people will come to know the Lord.
