Wow! This is really happening!
So, Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of the neurotechnology company Neuralink has announced to the world that the very first human received an implant from Neuralink's brain chip startup program and is recovering well.
Here is what "The Guardian" (voted "the News Website Of the Year) reported about this. "The surgery is not a surprise: the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had given the company clearance in September to carry out the first trial of its implant on humans."
In a recent post Elon Musk said, "Initial results show promising neuron spike detection." Spikes are activity by neurons, which the National Institute of Health describes as cells that use electrical and chemical signals to send information around the brain and the body.
Okay? So what does all this mean? Musk says, "It enables control of your phone or computer, and through them almost any device, by just thinking." Wow! Musk goes on to say, "Initial users will be those who have lost the use of their limbs. Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than a speed typist or auctioneer. That's the goal."
Anne Vanhoestenberghe, professor of active implantable medical devices at King's College London, stated, "I expect Neuralink will want to give the participant time to recover before they start training their system with the participant. We know Elon Musk is very adept at generating publicity for his company, so we may expect announcements as soon as they begin testing."
The Guardian reports, "The startups study, Prime, is a trial for its wireless brain-computer interface to evaluate the safety of the implant and surgical robot. Researchers will assess the functionality of the interface, which enables quadriplegia to control devices with thoughts."
So, thinking about all this, I first want to say I am sorry for such a brief post with a lot of techno-jargon. I am not a 'techno-guy;' I have a hard time just pasting and printing on my computer. In the future I will be sure to write more and explain more as I understand it, but right now I am so amazed by end time bible prophecy and I didn't want to wait before writing something.
So, Tim, what does this have to do with end time bible prophecy?
Revelation 13:16, 17 tells us that during the Tribulation the Antichrist will cause everyone alive on planet earth to receive a "mark" on their hand or forehead with his number, 666, attached to it. This "mark" will enable people to buy and sell and make transactions without the use of dollar bills and bank cards. It will make life so much more convenient. Everything you need is right there in your hand or forehead. However, with this "mark," the Antichrist will be able to monitor and control who will be able to buy and sell. Without "the mark" a person can't pay their bills, buy food, or receive medical treatment because to refuse "the mark" is to reject the Antichrist's rule over the earth. You are totally at the mercy of "the mark" because to refuse it is to terminate your existence.
So Tim, are you saying this new brain implant will eventually become "the mark of the beast?"
Not necessarily. What I am simply saying is that whatever form the mark of the beast takes, the technology is already here.
I believe as Christians, when we see things like this, we should be amazed! What was absolutely impossible when these things were written in the bible are very possible now. They are not only possible, they are being played-out right before our very eyes! Absolutely amazing!!!
