American Antisemitism
Deuteronomy 30:4 "If your outcasts are at the ends of the earth, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will bring you back."
Isaiah 43: 5, 6 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the East and gather you from the West. I will say to the North, 'Give them up!' and to the South, 'Do not hold them back.'"
Ezekiel 34:13 "I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all settlements in the land."
Joel 3:1 "For behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem..."
In bible prophecy God clearly says He is going to restore the nation of Israel, calling the Jews back home. Since the rebirth of Israel in 1948, we have seen this amazing happening; Jews have returned back to their homeland from all over the world.
And how has God made this happen? There are a few things we can talk about, but in this article I want us to see that God has used antisemitism to bring the Jews back to their homeland. (And please do not misunderstand me. My heart goes out to the Jewish people today because antisemitism has never been so huge worldwide and so violent. Frequently, the Jews are in my prayers. In this article I am just trying to show how God has used antisemitism to regather His people back to their land that God Himself gave to them. We have to understand the Jewish people and their land are precious to the Lord. In fact, in Joel 3:1, 2 God says one of the reasons He is bring judgment upon the world in the Great Tribulation is because the nations of the world have divided up His land.)
Here are some examples how God has used antisemitism to bring the Jews back to their God-given land.
Zionism (the Jewish national movement that had at its goal the recreation of the nation of Israel):
Though Zionism started way before World War II, it was after WWII that the Jews began to flood into the region of Palestine. Jews all around the world agreed we would be safest if we once again had our own homeland. As a nation united together, never again will we allow ourselves to be victimized by evil regimes like the Nazi party. Because of the holocaust the United Nations agreed and voted the nation of Israel back into existence. (Isn't it strange that the United Nations today is one of Israel's greatest adversaries.)
Europe: In the early 20th century many Jews escaped from France to Israel due to what is called "The Dreyfus Affair." To make a long story short, a Jewish military Captain in the French army, Alfred Dreyfus, was falsely accused of passing military secrets to the Germans. The whole incident blew up and masses of French people took up the slogan, "Death to Judas, death to the Jew." Like the Hamas attack on October 7th, the Dreyfus Affair simply ignited the antisemitism that was already there. Jews ran to Palestine by the masses.
Russia: in 1881 the Jews were heavily persecuted in Russia after the assassination of Tsar Alexander II. This event was wrongly blamed on the Jews. Tsar Alexander III (1881-1894) was hostile to the Jews; his reign wrought a sharp deterioration in the Jews economic, social, and political condition. Needless to say, when Israel became a nation again, multitudes of Russian Jews migrated back to their homeland.
Modern Europe today: with so many Moslems moving into Europe, many Jews have left Europe to return to Israel.
So, what am I saying? Today almost half of the population of Jews live in the United States.
Though antisemitism in America has always existed, for the most part the Jewish people have reaped the benefits that comes with living in a democracy like the United States of America.
So, if the prophets predicted that the Jews were going to come back to their God-given land, how is God going to get the Jews living in America back to their homeland? God is going to bring many Jews back to their land the same way. The Jews will be greatly persecuted and the safest place for the Jew to be will be back in Israel. If American society cannot protect us, we will go back to the one place where Jews protect each other, Israel. Though Israel is unsafe, surrounded by her enemies, it is the one place where we are united together and will defend ourselves together.
Again, please hear my heart. I am not saying God is the author of antisemitism. I am saying, "God is using it to once again bring the Jews back to their God-given land." Then during the Great Tribulation, the Jews will receive Jesus as their Messiah and Jesus will reign one thousand years with His people from Jerusalem. (that's the short version.)
God bless.
