Prophetic Pulpit: Will Israel bomb Iran?

                                             It's Overdue!

It is no secret that Iran wants to annihilate the nation of Israel. The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently said, "The Zionist regime will perish in the not so far future." In a recent speech he made in Tehran, he stated, "Israel will not exist in another quarter century. God willing, there will be no such thing as a Zionist regime in 25 years. Until then, struggling, heroic and jihadi morale will leave no moment of serenity for Zionists."

In addition, the Deputy Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) vehemently declared, "Our strategy is to erase Israel from the global political map. And, it seems that, considering the evil that Israel is doing, it is bringing itself closer to that."

One of the core pillars and revolutionary ideas of the Islamic Republic is destroying the nation of Israel. It is also one of the religious prophecies of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The former Ayatollah said repeatedly that it is the will of Allah that Israel be erased from the face of the earth. 

The existing Ayatollah, Ali Khamenei, has expressly made it clear to Israel that she has the right to fear a nuclear Iran. It is the will of God to eradicate the Jewish state. 

So, how close is Iran in acquiring a nuclear bomb?

Kamai Kharrazi, Advisor to Ali Khamenei, has stated, "Iran can easily produce 90% enriched uranium. Iran has the technical means to produce a nuclear bomb but there has been no decision made by Iran to build one."

The Israeli nation felt strongly threatened by Kharrazi's remark. The Israeli government took his words to mean that Iran is thinking about making a nuclear weapon. Though Iran claims its nuclear program is peaceful, purely for energy and medical purposes, Israeli leaders have no doubt that Iran's ultimate goal for its nuclear program is the bomb. 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has resolutely vowed that Iran will not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, whether or not Tehran reaches a deal with President Joe Biden to revive the stalled Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action nuclear agreement.

"With or without an agreement," Netanyahu said, "we will do everything so (Iran is not) armed with nuclear weapons."

Israel's IDF Chief of Staff said the Israeli military is preparing for the possibility that it may have to act against Iran's nuclear program. Lt. General Aviv Kohavi stated, "The IDF continues to train vigorously for any attack on Iran and must prepare for any development and any scenario. Preparing a military option against the Iranian nuclear program is a moral obligation."

The Times of Israel recently reported that Israel has approved a budget of $1.5 billion dollars to be used to prepare the military for a potential strike against Iran's nuclear program. It also reported that the Israeli Air Force is simulating a "massive attack" on Iran's nuclear program. The drills involve dozens of jets practicing long range strikes, responses to anti-aircraft missiles, and mid-air refueling. 

So here is the bottom line: Israel is not going to let Iran acquire a nuclear bomb. 

At any moment Israel could attack Iran's nuclear facilities because Iran is so close to possessing a nuclear weapon. In fact, those who are attentive watchers of the crisis in the Middle East are surprised it has not happened yet. Israel's attack on Iran is not imminent! It is overdue!

So, what does all this have to do with end time bible prophecy?

If Israel bombs Iran, Russia will definitely intervene. For many years Russia and Iran have been partners, but now they are allies. Russian President, Vladimir Putin has plainly stated any attack on Iran will be viewed by Moscow as an attack on Russia. 

So now the question is, if (when!) Israel attacks Iran's nuclear cities and Russia intervenes, will this launch the Gog, Magog war? (See my blog, What is the Gog, Magog war?) It is very possible! Russia will see Israel's attack on Iran as a valid reason to invade Israel. The Russian regime will claim it has a justifiable cause to come to Iran's aid, but the hidden motive will be Israel's wealth (Ezekiel 38:13). Vladimir Putin is obsessed with making Russia a superpower again. If the truth be known, he is possessed by the idea to make Russia the greatest superpower the world has ever seen. Israel's wealth would make that possible.

Beloved, two things to seriously consider: 1 Israel's attack on Iran is at hand! Iran is so close to possessing "the bomb," and Israel cannot afford to let Iran possess nuclear weapons. She must stop Iran before they actually have them. 2. When Israel attacks Iran, this could very well be the beginning of the Gog, Magog war. According to bible prophecy, this Russian-Islamic invasion happens shortly after the rapture. So, the rapture is so close! Maybe today.   

Beloved, do we really have any idea how close we are to that moment when the trumpet will blow and the dead in Christ will come out of their graves? Then we which remain will be caught up with them in the air, forever to be with the Lord. If we are those who are keeping a close watch on what is happening in the Middle East, we know Christ's return is so imminent.
