Prophetic Pulpit: Globalization and the Beast

                                              Globalization?

Globalization? What is that?

The word "globalization" actually means the worldwide coming together of countries and nations. Because of technology, countries can exchange communication and goods more quickly. This is called "globalization."

In our world today there is a drastic push toward globalization. For decades global organizations such as The United Nations and The World Health Organization have emerged for the purpose of making our world safer and improving human conditions. Most recently is the World Economic Forum. The WEF is made up of heads of state government, cabinet members, ambassadors, and heads of senior officials of international organizations. Its goal is to improve the state of the world by promoting globalization, that is, unity and oneness between the nations of the world. The more we are globalized, the more we can achieve for the common good. If we put aside our religious and political differences and work together as one, we can solve so much of the world crises today.

And this is true! The proof is in the pudding. The benefits of globalism are astronomical!
For instance, take foreign imports. Foreign trade increases consumer choices and drive prices down.

And what about the health benefits? The WEF declares, Globalization has been the key driver why the world has recovered so rapidly from Covid. Starting with the vaccines, it was a global workshop effort. 175 countries (working together) has saved a lot of lives. It would have not been possible without globalism.

Ian Goldin (University of Oxford) Globalization flows across national borders of goods, of services, of finance, of technology, and there has never been a more progressive means of bringing people out of poverty and improving their lives. The more globalization, the better. Because of the benefits of globalization-health technology and immunization-people's life span has increased by twenty years (in poverty stricken countries). In a world of five billion people in 1988, only two billion could read and write. In a world of 7.5 billion people today, 6.5 billion people can read and write. Globalization is the story of transformation in a short period of time.

One cannot deny the enormous achievements that globalism has made upon the world.
Nations putting aside their political and religious differences to become a united community, working together as One, has made a huge difference in bettering our world.

However, as beneficial as globalism is, we know where it is going to end: in the hands of a beast. This is how he will be able to control the entire world's economy in the very near future.

Revelation 13:16-18 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or forehead, and that no one can buy or sale except one has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom: let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man: his number is 666.

Revelation 13 tells us that one day the Antichrist will gain control over the entire world.
Because of his great wisdom in solving the world's dilemmas and his persuasive speech, every nation will bow to his rule. It is then he will unite the world under a "one governmental system" under his dictatorship. This places the world's entire economy under his control.

Soon after, the Antichrist will declare himself to be God and demand that all the world worship him by receiving his mark. Either worship me, or starve.

So by now some of you are asking, So, what does all this have to do with globalism?
Though we are not in the Tribulation, the Tribulation is casting its large, ominous shadow over our generation. In other words, globalism is hastening us toward this one world government.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 Only he who now restrains (the Holy Spirit) will do so until the restrainer is taken out of the way. Then the Lawless one (the Antichrist) will appear.
This verse is telling us that the only reason why the Antichrist has not stepped onto the world stage is because he is being restrained by the presence of the Holy Spirit in the earth. Right now the Antichrist is like a vicious dog straining on its leash, trying to break free. When the rapture occurs and the Holy Spirit has left, this is when the Antichrist will storm the world stage and take over the earth.

My point is, right now this "one world governmental system" is being restrained. Though it is taking shape through globalism, it cannot happen until the Holy Spirit in God's people have left this earth.

In the meantime globalism is setting the stage for the Antichrist's global takeover.
Because of globalism, the world is so connected now that it is just waiting to fall under his Satanic spell and receive him as the world's great savior.
