Prophetic Pulpit: Strong Delusion

                                  America given over?

Romans 1:18; 24-28 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness...Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of the hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debase (reprobate) mind, to do those things which are not fitting...

Most Christians in America do not realize we are living in a nation where the grace of God and the wrath of god  are co-existing together. According to Romans 1 it is plain to see America is now under God's wrath, yet, at the same time we are still under the umbrella of God's amazing grace. God's wonderful, precious grace is still saving and transforming lives and will be until the rapture of the church. And even then the bible tells us that in the Great Tribulation, when the world is experiencing "The wrath of the Lamb," the gospel will still be preached all over the world and millions of people will be saved. Another example of wrath and grace co-existing together. 

Tim, what do you mean "America is under God's wrath?" 

When most people think of the wrath of God, they think of Sodom and Gomorrah. They think the wrath of God means "fire and brimstone falling from the sky." However, in the New Testament another wrath from God is revealed. I guess we can call this "the New Testament Wrath of God." 

Romans 1:18 describes this as "The abandonment wrath of God." 

This is the wrath where God turns a nation and society over to its wickedness. In verses 24-28 the bible says "God gave them over" three different times. As Americans, we can check off all three boxes. We are there. 

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 They perished because they refused to love the truth and be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe 'the lie' and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

In 2 Thessalonians 2 Paul is talking about the 7 year Tribulation. He tells us that because humanity defiantly refuses to love truth and walk in it, God will send a strong delusion upon their minds to believe the lie. What is the lie? More correctly, Who is the lie? The Antichrist. Simply put, God is going to cause them to believe in the Antichrist and every lie he feeds them: I am the Savior of the world. I am the truth. I know what is best for my creation. I am God. They will believe it all! God giving the world over to this delusion is God's way of saying, "Since you absolutely refuse truth even though you know it is the truth, there will be no middle ground. I will cause you to believe every lie the Antichrist will tell. You either embrace truth or embrace lies." 

Though we are not in the Tribulation yet, we can already see mankind being given over to strong delusion. What political leaders are calling moral and good is preposterous. What the world is now calling wholesome and honorable is absolutely absurd. Only people with a reprobate mind can be so blind to what is so obviously wicked. 

Though there are many examples we can give, I am going to give just one: Drag Queen story hour. 

What in the world is that?! Exactly what it sounds like! Homosexual men dress up as women and brought into public libraries to read stories to children. The event, usually geared for children 3 to 11, are hosted by drag queens who read children's books, and engage in other learning activities in public libraries. Its purpose is to begin acclimating children to the homosexual lifestyle and to promote love, diversity and acceptance. 

Jonathan Hamlit, who co-founded the New York chapter as a nonprofit, said that as of June 2019, Drag Queen Story Hour has 35 U.S. and 5 international chapters. The program strives to "capture the imagination and play of gender fluidity of childhood and give kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models." 

Though parents have voiced their outrage, prominent political figures have risen up to defend Drag Queen Story Hour. The Washington Times-Thursday, June 16, 2022: "New York City  Mayor, Eric Adams, defended Thursday sending drag queens to public schools and libraries, saying that inviting flamboyant female impersonators to read to young children promotes 'a love of diversity.' The Mayor's statement came a few days after the New York Post reported that the city paid $207,000 to Drag Queen Story Hour NYC to read books to students at dozens of elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools since 2018. 

"At a time when our LGBTQ communities are under increased attack across the country, we must use our education system to educate them," Mr. Adams said. "The goal is not only for our children to be academically smart, but also emotionally intelligent. Drag storytellers, and the libraries and schools that support them, are advancing a love of diversity, personal expression, and literacy that is core to what our city embraces," he explained. 

Brothers and sisters, as Christians we know God deeply loves "the lost" and passionately wants to save them. As long as this world exists, the Lord is in a warfare for their souls, beginning at the cross.

We also know it is only by grace anyone can stand in the sight of God. Psalm 130:3 If you, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared.  

Thank God for His marvelous grace! Thank God that no matter how strong sin becomes, God's grace will always be stronger! Thank God that He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life! Where would anyone be without grace?! 

The purpose of this blog is not to bash anyone bound by the homosexual-lifestyle. Until the church is raptured out of this world, we passionately love and diligently pray for their eternal soul. We fight to expose the darkness with truth and destroy the works of the devil, remembering our own pit from which we were saved. 

So Tim, what is the purpose of this blog? 

To show that the strong delusion we are seeing on the earth is just one more indicator that the Great Tribulation is right around the corner. Right now the world is so prepared "to received 'the Lie.'"

We have heard it all our lives, "Jesus is at the door," but have we heard it so much we have grown calloused. Beloved, look at all the prophetic signs. Our generation is not waiting on them to happen; they are being fulfilled right before our very eyes. Jesus is coming!
