Prophetic Pulpit: A cashless society

                                               A controlled economy

Revelation 13:16, 17 It also forced all people, rich and poor, great and small, free and slave to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
Revelation 13 tells us that one day a world dictator will be able to control everyone who is able to buy and sell in the entire earth. If you do not receive his mark, he will be able to financially shut you down. You will not be able to buy food, pay bills, obtain medical services or pay rent because he will terminate any access to finances that you have.

In order for the Antichrist to have this control, our world has to go cashless. In a cashless society every transaction we make is traceable. In a world where money is digital, every transaction we make is observable. This is obviously how the Antichrist will control who can buy or sell. If you do not take his mark, your digital currency will be cut off.

Even though we are not a cashless world yet, we are quickly going that way. I realized that this summer when I took a job as a security officer at Hershey Park. This summer (20230) Hershey Park went 100% cashless. Am I saying Hershey Park is in league with the Antichrist? Not at all. The point I am making is that many business establishments are discovering the advantages digital currency gives.

So, what are the benefits of moving into a cashless society?
It is convenient and time saving. Cashless payments are made without the need for cash or traveling to a bank or ATM.

For merchants, it reduces the time of payment processing to their account as the payments are received directly in their business account from cashless payment methods.

Cashless payment systems can reduce business risks by providing increased security, speed, and record-keeping, as well as improving customer convenience and facilitating international transactions. These systems offer multiple layers of security to prevent unauthorized access, fraud, or theft.

With cashless payments, when users make any payment for merchandise or services, it gets recorded online. These records can be easily stored and accessed for a variety of reasons, such as accounting, tax preparation, and business analysis.

Digital currency stamps out corruption. When digital transactions are made, everything is recorded. Because transactions can be tracked, it is easier to  identify criminal activities. Even now governments are declaring going 100% digital will shut down drug cartels and sex trafficking. It will be impossible for crime organizations to hide and launder money.

Though most economists agree the world is approaching a less-cash future, not a completely cashless future, the bible tells us there will come a day all the world will be cashless. Digital currency will give the Antichrist complete control over who is able to buy and sell and who is not. With so many business establishments now going cashless, we are approaching that day quicker than we realize.

So does this mean the rapture cannot take place until the world is 100% cashless? Not at all!
The rapture can occur at any moment. The bible clearly teaches that the return of Christ is imminent. There is nothing that needs to transpire before the rapture can take place. If anything, a world racing toward a cashless society is just one more indicator that Jesus is coming!
