Precious Thoughts
Psalm 139: 17, 18 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand
In the dream she was standing in a field staring into the night sky. The sky was so clear and so vast she could see thousands of stars filling the heavens. Gaping in wonder at the incredible sight, she asked the Lord, "What does this mean?" The Lord softly answered, "Each star represents a precious thought that I have about you." Astounded, she stared at the starry firmament trying to absorb what the Lord had spoken so beautifully to her heart.
Then a star fell from the sky, falling toward her. The Lord spoke, "If you can just get ahold of one thought that I think toward you, it will change your life. Just one."
Friends, the Lord loves us so much it will take an eternity to fathom the beautiful thoughts that He thinks toward us. My prayer is that we would understand more and more just how precious we are to the Lord. His love is immeasurable, His thoughts innumerable. Out of all the countless precious thoughts He thinks towards us, if we could truly grasp just one, the incredible joy that would live in our hearts and the amazing freedom we would experience in our lives as we walk with God through this world.
