The spirit of the European Union
The European Union has plainly shown its spirit behind this union; or should I say, "the spirit behind this union." The EU has made it clear it is a union established in defiance to God. Certainly created as a means to better provide and protect the European people, the EU has not tried to hide its detest for God and His Word.
The European Union motto is "Unity in Diversity."
It seems harmless enough. In fact, it sounds moral and upright at heart. Today our world proclaims, "Diverse cultures, traditions and religions are what makes the nations and their people unique. It is a beautiful thing when we embrace each others uniqueness and unify for the sake of bettering our world." However, the European Union has made no attempt to hide the fact that at the heart of its union is its blatant insolence toward God.
Let me give you some examples.
European Parliament is the legislative branch of the European Union. They have a building in Strasbourg, France that includes a tower. If you look at it, it looks unfinished. However, it was purposely constructed to look like that and it is called "The Tower Building." It was designed after Peter Bruegel's 1563 painting of what he thought the tower of Babel looked like. The design of the EU Parliament building was made to resemble Bruegel's "Tower Of Babel." This is the European Union defiantly saying to God, "You scattered the people, but we are bringing them back together again."
In 2007 the European Union published a very interesting poster showing Bruegel's painting of "the Tower of Babel" with the 12 stars of the EU flag. One will notice that the largest star at the forefront is inverted like a satanic pentagram. Often when Satan is the invisible inspiration behind something, he signs his signature. Also one will notice the proclamation of the poster says, "Europe: Many tongues, one voice." Well, what's wrong with that? At first glance, nothing. However, if you look closely behind the tower you will see a construction crane to show that they are continuing to build the tower of Babel. A straight out declaration of the European Union uniting the nations in defiance to God.
The European symbolism does not stop there. The "last days one world religion" is symbolically represented in the bible in Revelation 17 as a woman riding upon a beast. The beast is symbolic of the Antichrist and his empire, but the Europeans use this symbol to represent Europa, a Phoenician Princess in Greek mythology in which the continent of Europe is named. In front of the European Union Parliament in Strasbourg, France there is a statue of a woman riding a beast.
Today the Euro is the currency of the Eurozone nations. Look at the Euro coins in Greece. It has an engraving of a woman riding a beast.
Repeatedly the symbol of the woman riding a beast is used to promote unity in the European Union.
This is the symbol the bible uses as the last day symbol for a one world union and a one world government under the Antichrist.
Ian Paisley, Parliament member from Ireland made this statement concerning the Parliament building: "It is certainly a building of the Space Age. The seats of its massive hemicycle are designed like the crew seats in the Star Trek space machine. There are 679 seats, each assigned to a particular Lawmaker. While these seats are allocated to Members, one seat remains unallocated and unoccupied. The number of that seat is 666." As bizarre as it sounds, I did the research and he really said that.
Is all this just coincidence? I think not. In fact, if we have eyes to see and ears to hear, the bible is being fulfilled right before us. The new revived Roman empire through which the Antichrist will no doubt arise to power is here today.
