Prophetic Pulpit: Covid-19 and the race to globalism

                                                Covid 19-the race is on

Often you will hear me repeat myself when I say, "Though the Great Tribulation has not happened, it is casting a giant shadow over our generation." For example, in the Great Tribulation we will have a one-world government under the rule of the Antichrist. Though this has not occurred, today there is a strong push for the regimes of the world to unite and learn to work together as one.

When Covid-19 struck, in desperation the governments of the world started responding in different ways to deal with the problem. Covid-19 exposed that our world is very divided in the way we respond to global crisis.

In response to this, powerful global organizations began to push even harder for globalization; that is, the governments of the world uniting and working together. The United Nations declared, "With Covid-19, we saw a failure in global leadership. We need to unite and learn how to work together."

Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, a powerful organization made up of world leaders and business enterprises, stated, "We cannot have a splintered response to deal with a world problem like Covid-19. The way the world responded was a disaster. We need to tear up the script on how government is done and write a new script. This is the only way to have a different outcome in world crisis."

Though a one-world government will not find its ultimate fulfillment until the Antichrist takes the world stage, it is not hard to see our world running toward it. When "the restrainer" is taken out of the way (2 Thessalonians 2:6, 7) there will be nothing to stop him from uniting the earth under a one world system. Everything needed to make this happen is already in place.

Until the Antichrist takes the world stage, every global crisis will be a strong push toward globalism. Every world disaster will be a strong persuader that the governments of the world need to unite and work together.

So, are you saying this is a bad thing? World governments uniting together to learn how to better respond to global crisis, that is a bad thing? That is not what I am saying at all. Anything that saves lives and improves human conditions is a worthwhile cause. However, what I am saying is this: because we have the bible, we know ultimately where it is all going to end; in the hands of a beast (Revelations 13).
