Living In Hope: Habakkuk 3:19

                                Hind's Feet On High Places

Habakkuk  3:19 The Lord is my strength, and he will make my feet like hind's feet, and he will make me to walk upon my high places
What a beautiful portrait of God's faithful workings in our life! You see, a hind is a young, strong and vibrant female deer that can ascend "high places" such as a mountain top with great ease. This verse speaks about God's wonderful      power working in the lives of His children.

"High places" can represent places in our own heart that are insurmountable.
They can represent past wounds that cripple our spirit; strongholds that imprison our minds; fears that captivate our hearts. They can represent anything we are powerless over in our own strength.

And yet the Lord comes, and in His unfailing faithfulness begins a work.
God's beautiful anointing flows into these fragmented places in our lives, and like a beautiful portrait, others can see the beauty of God's handiwork in these places that were once broken and scarred.

Often it is a progressive work; sometimes it takes time before the breakthroughs come.
Yet, one morning we wake up and realize we are walking in strength and freedom in places where all we have known is pain, failure, and defeat.

Because the Lord marvelously loves us, He will do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think, by the Holy Spirit gloriously working in our lives.

God be praised!
