                              The technology is here

My friends, have you ever heard of the company, Biohax?

Probably not. Very few people have. However, I am certain it will be a household name in the near future. 

So what is Biohax? It is a company in Sweden that specializes in biochips. The company's CEO is a man named Jowan Osterlund. He has designed a way to use radio frequency technology to create a biochip. Since this discovery, he estimates he has chipped over 6000 Swedes during the 6 years his company has been in business.

His biochip offers a broad range of uses.

It can be used to open secure doors, log into computers, make contactless payments and access funds. All you have to do is swipe your hand.

Embedded microchips will offer you a world without keys, or wallets, or other encumbering items. 

For people like me who hate carrying things in their pocket, it sounds wonderful. And what about the people who lose items so easily? Honey, have you seen my keys? You do not have to worry about losing your keys anymore because it is literally in your hand. 

Osterlund claims that in the near future his biochips will have the ability to detect illnesses, read your vital signs, and send instant messages to your doctor. 

When asked why his company is so successful, he says it is due to Sweden's culture to embrace new technology that still frightens people in other parts of the world. It is also due to the fact that Sweden recognizes our world is racing towards a cashless society.

Technology continues to get closer and closer to our bodies, from phones in our pockets to the 

smartwatches on our wrists. Now, for some people, it's getting under their skin.

In Sweden, a country rich with technological advancement, thousands have had microchips inserted into their hands. 

The chips are designed to speed up user's daily routines and make their lives more convenient-accessing their homes, offices and gym is as easy as swiping their hand against digital readers.

They can also be used to store emergency contact details, social media profiles or e-tickets for events and rail journeys within Sweden. 

Around the size of a grain of rice, the chips typically are inserted into the skin just above each user's thumb, using a syringe similar to that used for giving vaccinations. The procedure costs $180.

So many Swedes are lining up to get the microchips that the country's main chipping company says it can't keep up with the number of requests.

Osterlund believes the reason why microchips have taken off in Sweden is because the country has a long history of embracing new technologies before many others and is quickly moving toward a cashless society. 

So by now many of you are thinking, Doesn't the bible say something about this sort of thing? Haven't I heard about something that sounds eerily familiar? It does and you have. 

It reminds us of a prophecy found in Revelation 13:16, 17 

Revelation 13: 16, 17 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark,  which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

So according to Revelation 13 there will be a day a world leader will control the world's economy.

The only way a person can continue to exist in his government system is to take his mark in their hand or forehead. Without it you cannot buy or sell or make transactions of any sort. You will not be able to purchase food, gain medical attention, or have shelter of any kind. Simply put, if you do not take his mark, you are making the choice to terminate your existence. 

So here is the question: Could this biochip produced by Osterlund be a foreshadowing of Revelation's mark of the beast? One day will the Antichrist use this technology to monitor and control the world's economy? Will he use this technology to control who can buy and sell? Without being an alarmist, yes, it sounds like this chip could be a forerunner to Revelation 13.  

Our world is headed for a cashless society quicker than we realize. Because of its many tremendous benefits the World Central Bank is pushing hard for digital currency. So the question is, will a cashless society revolve around the microchip? I am not saying positively it will, but it is possible. One thing is for certain, for our nation the microchip is right around the corner. 

Speaking to Christians about the soon and coming biochip, Dr. David Jeremiah states, "I suspect we will soon be facing some personal choices here in this country regarding this technology." 

So by now someone has to be thinking, Tim, this sounds a little scary? Is there any good news?

Whether this biochip is linked to the mark of the beast or not, the good news is those who have received Christ as Savior will be raptured and will not go into the Great Tribulation. We will not be confronted with the choice, receive the mark or cease to exist. While the Christ rejecting world is going through the Wrath of the Lamb (Revelation 6: 16, 17) the Saints will be partaking of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  

But in the meantime, before the glorious trumpet blows and we meet Christ in the air, we must work while it is day. The night is coming when no one can work. We must diligently pray and minister the gospel like there is no tomorrow. As one of my favorite eschatologists put it, looking at where we are at in bible prophecy, I'm surprised we're still here.
